Feb 6 - Every Day Is Exactly The Same

Every Day Is Exactly the Same is not only from With Teeth but it is also its' own Halo - Halo 21. It's the sixth track off With Teeth or Halo 19. This song is about addiction and overcoming it. I love the live drums - And I love that it's Dave Grohl.

Feb 5 - Only

"Only" is the eighth track off With Teeth or Halo 19. It was released as a single in 2005 receiving it's own designation of Halo 20. It's funny how this song sounds like Down In It with the little dot reference. My sister admitted to me that this song was the only reason that she bought With Teeth instead of stealing my CD! I commend her on that one as this is an excellent album!!

Feb 4 - The Perfect Drug

"The Perfect Drug" is from the Lost Highway Soundtrack. Funny enough I have only seen Lost Highway once. It is also thought that Trent lost interest in this song after trying to play it live as the ending has never worked for him giving the song justice. Personally I like the song, although it's not one of my favorites, I do like it.

Feb 3 - Discipline

"Discipline" is the fourth track off The Slip or Halo 27. Discipline was originally released to radio stations simultaneously on April 22, 2008 at 2:30PM after being mastered just the day before. This was the first single to be released from Halo 27 and was made available as a free download from NIN.com. Every time I hear this song all I want to do is turn it up & dance!

"The beginning Of The End" is the second track off Year Zero or Halo 24. As a matter of fact, I was listening to Jed The Fish's set on KROQ when this came on. This song was then played again the next day then went viral on the web.

Feb 1 - Heresy

"Heresy" is the third track off of The Downward Spiral or Halo 8. NINwiki states that this song is best described as a scathing attack on religion particularly Western Christianity. Very Nietzschean with the phrase "God is dead". I personally LOVE this song. It's driving beats are hypnotic. I can listen to this song over & over!

Jan 31 - Dead Souls

"Dead Souls" is a cover of the Joy Division song that was originally done in 1979 on their album Still. "Dead Souls" is thought to be about a schizophrenic man as heard in the lyric "a duel of personalities" and also "they keep calling me". This version is on The Crow Soundtrack as well as the Japanese 2 Disc Delux version of The Downward Spiral.

Jan 30 - Closer (Internal)

Closer (Internal) is the sixth track off of Closer To God or Halo 9. This song has a tendency to vacillate between the left and right speakers. I always thought that this song would sound kick ass in a movie.

Jan 29 - Help Me I am In Hell

"Help Me I am In Hell" is the fourth track off the album Broken or Halo 5. This song is purely an instrumental and very interesting as it builds to go into the next song "Happiness In Slavery". You might notice the 'thunder' in the background of the song. Love!!

Jan 28 - My Violent Heart

"My Violent Heart" is the eighth track off the album Year Zero or Halo 24. This was actually the first song to be leaked off the album. I remember being in California and the rock station KROQ played this song in heavy rotation... I was psyched! I loved hearing NIN on the radio!! No station in Arizona ever played NIN on a steady basis. The only song that was played was "Closer" and that was a rarity.

I bought this album the day it was released on April 13, 2007. I remember listening to the CD all day in my Mini Cooper S. I even put the windows down on the 405N and jammed home to this song!!
